Our company is recruiting for an HR officer (generalist) who will perform a broad range of Human Resource duties. Pertinent specialisms include employee relations, developing policies and managing procedure, among others.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Participates in developing HR goals, objectives, and systems for clients and the company
  • Tracks the implementation of the employee performance reviews and management system
  • Provide counseling on policies and procedures
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
  • Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested
  • Conducts new-employee orientation and prepares paperwork required for new employees
  • Participates in disseminating the Employment Manual and other related policies and procedures
  • Participates on various committees to provide HR support
  • Controls and approves leave days for each employee, making certain that there are no accruals
  • Suggests initiatives to improve operating practices
  • Drafts and or issues various correspondence as required

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Full grade Twelve Certificate and Diploma in Human Resources Management or better
  • Membership of the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management, with practicing license
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a reputable company
  • Must be client-centric and good at Business Development
